Membership Dues Are Past Due! |
| 2010 dues were due January 1. Your
membership has expired if you have not paid your dues. Don't miss

The Outboard Inner Tube |
 This
may be the world's first twin-engine Outboard Inner Tube. Vernon
Green built this beauty about 25 years ago. It was cleverly and
neatly constructed from two modified weed-eaters and a truck inner
tube, among other things; it even has weed-guards on the propellers.
Steering the contraption is accomplished by accelerating one engine
or the other. It actually worked quite well.
Vernon launched his Maiden Voyage on the Staunton River between
Long Island and Brookneal during the annual Fun and Float Day. It
was an exciting trip; he managed to run out of gas, and somehow
broke his foot. |
